Privacy policy
1. Who processes your data, and for which services?
RB Convent B.V., a company established in Belgium, is the controller for processing relating to its corporate website, business communications, platform account management and its own billing. This policy is intended for visitors, prospective clients, clients and authorised users of the publisher platform.
Registered office: Parklaan 15, 1653 Dworp, Belgium
CBE / VAT: BE1011865297
Data protection contact:
[email protected]
Processing carried out using our technologies on our clients’ websites is described in the section Technologies used on publisher websites. Its scope depends on the services enabled and each party’s role.
2. Which data is involved?
- Enquiries and correspondence: name, email address, company, website, enquiry content, correspondence and choices regarding marketing communications.
- Accounts and access: professional contact details, account identifiers, hashed password, authentication security information, invitations, roles, permissions and links to publishers and domains.
- Services and billing: identity and contact details of the company and its representatives, registration number, VAT number, billing email address, bank details where provided, billing documents, approvals, balances and payments.
- Technical data: IP address, date and time, browser, language, approximate country, relevant page, source of the visit and information used to detect errors, spam or misuse. Availability depends on the service used.
Some data comes from you; other data may be provided by your company, the person inviting you to the platform or advertising platforms connected to deliver the service. Fields marked as required are necessary to handle the enquiry or provide the relevant feature. Other fields are optional.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Responding to an enquiry and preparing a service: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract; for communications with company representatives, our legitimate interest in managing the professional relationship.
- Providing services and managing accounts and reports: performance of the contract where you are a party to it; our legitimate interest in organising access and services where you act on behalf of a client.
- Issuing invoices and tracking payments: contractual management of the service and compliance with applicable accounting and tax obligations.
- Securing services and preventing misuse: our legitimate interest in protecting accounts, infrastructure and users, and handling incidents. Anti-spam checks may cause an enquiry to be rejected; you can then contact us by email.
- Sending optional marketing communications: your consent where requested. This choice is separate from submitting a contact enquiry and can be withdrawn at any time.
- Using trackers that require consent: your permission for the purposes and partners shown in the preference manager. Simply browsing, opening an account or reading this policy does not constitute consent.
4. Recipients and service providers
Information is accessible to authorised RB Content personnel and, depending on your access rights, authorised users of the relevant publisher account. Service providers also support hosting, email delivery, resource distribution, security and platform operation. Accounting or legal advisers and competent authorities may receive information necessary for their duties or to meet a legal obligation.
The website integrates Sirdata to manage choices, Google reCAPTCHA to protect against misuse and Google Tag Manager to manage tags. The infrastructure also uses Cloudflare to deliver and protect services. These tools do not all have the same purpose or role.
The advertising or measurement partners listed in the CMP form a separate category from purely technical service providers. Depending on the services enabled and your choices, they may process data to measure performance, study audiences or personalise content and advertising. Some act for their own purposes. See the current list, their purposes and their policies in the preference manager.
5. Processing outside the European Economic Area
Depending on the provider, data may be processed or made accessible outside the European Economic Area, particularly for the operation or support of international services. The location of a server alone does not determine every location where processing takes place.
Where a transfer takes place, it must rely on a mechanism provided for by the GDPR, such as an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, including contractual safeguards. The arrangements depend on the recipient and service. You can request information about the destinations and safeguards applicable to your data at [email protected].
6. Data retention
Cookie lifetimes are listed in the next section. For records and information stored on our systems, the criteria differ according to their use:
- Contact enquiries: handling the enquiry, correspondence and follow-up of the proposal; if a contractual relationship begins, relevant information becomes part of the client record. Additional retention may be necessary to evidence a commitment or handle a dispute.
- Accounts and client records: the duration of the relationship and access management, followed by retention of only the information needed to track obligations, supporting documents and possible disputes. Archiving an account disables its use; it does not immediately erase all associated references and documents.
- Invoices and supporting documents: statutory accounting and tax retention periods applicable to the documents concerned, together with the need to evidence payments and resolve disputes.
- Marketing communications: the subscription is maintained while it remains active; if consent is withdrawn, the relevant communications stop. The minimum information needed to respect your objection or evidence consent may be kept separately.
- Technical and security logs: the needs of misuse detection, diagnostics and incident handling. An identified incident may justify retaining relevant evidence during its investigation and any subsequent proceedings.
A legal obligation or the defence of a legal claim may limit an erasure request. Backups have their own replacement cycle: deletion from active systems does not necessarily mean immediate removal from all backups.
7. Your rights and choices
Under the conditions set out in the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of processing of your data, as well as portability where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your situation, and to direct marketing at any time.
Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of processing already carried out. For trackers, use the preference manager. To stop our optional emails, use their unsubscribe link without logging in or contact us. Emails needed for security, contracts and billing remain separate.
To exercise your rights or ask for clarification, write to [email protected] and specify the account or service concerned. Additional information may be requested where necessary to verify your identity. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority or the authority competent for your situation.
8. Security and policy updates
RB Content implements technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, alteration and disclosure. Access rights and authentication mechanisms contribute to this protection.
This policy may change as services, providers and applicable obligations evolve. The date at the top of the page identifies this version. Updating the text does not replace obtaining fresh consent where required.
Technologies used on publisher websites
1. Advertising, services and responsibilities
A publisher may use RB Content tags, reporting tools and integrations to manage monetisation. The services actually used vary by website: ad server, SSP partners, programmatic auctions, performance measurement or ad blocking measurement.
Depending on these services, partners may receive technical information about the device, connection, page context, advertising placements and consent signals. Any trackers or identifiers used must be described by the publisher and relevant partners. They cannot be equated solely with the login cookies of the RB Content platform.
The publisher informs its visitors and determines which services it enables. Where RB Content processes data solely on the publisher’s behalf and instructions, it acts as a processor and this must be governed by an agreement specifying the processing and each party’s obligations. Each party retains the responsibilities corresponding to its actual role; this page does not replace the policy of the website visited.
2. Page view and ad blocking measurement
When enabled by the publisher, the RB Content module measures page views and looks for signs that advertising resources are being blocked. It produces statistics by website and day, potentially broken down by broad device and browser categories. This information helps understand the website’s operation and advertising performance. A detection result may be inconclusive; it does not reliably identify a particular piece of installed software.
The detector waits for permission covering this measurement before loading its engine and running its probes. Refusing or withdrawing consent prevents further measurements concerned. The choice made on the RB Content website does not replace the choice to be made on each publisher website.
This module does not use a tracking cookie, persistent visitor identifier or mechanism intended to recognise a person across multiple websites. A temporary page identifier is used to limit duplicates. The browser is reduced to a category; the IP address, full User-Agent, full page URL and consent string are not stored in this module’s statistics collections.
The IP address is nevertheless received during communications and used by protections against misuse. Technical logs may also be processed by hosting or security services. The absence of an IP address in statistics therefore does not mean that no technical processing of that address occurs.
3. Retention and enquiries relating to measurement
A small diagnostic sample, approximately 0.1% of detection measurements, may be retained to understand the results. Automatic expiry is set to seven days. Deduplication receipts are temporary, with a lifetime of fifteen minutes; shared request rate counters expire after sixty seconds.
Aggregated daily statistics form the reports provided to publishers. Their retention depends on the service’s historical reporting needs and the terms agreed with the publisher. These reports must not be presented as a complete count of all website visitors.
To change your choices or exercise a right relating to a publisher website, first use its consent manager or contact details. RB Content can be contacted at [email protected] to identify the relevant service and assist the publisher in handling your request.
Creative Engine and advertising measurement
Creative delivery
Creative Engine enables publishers and advertisers to deliver interactive advertising creatives, including video carousels, and review their performance. Player resources are served from delivery.rbcontent.online; measurement and sharing services use creative-engine.rbcontent.online. Content delivery providers may also transmit videos and images to your browser.
Data and purposes
When you authorise RB Content measurement, the player sends delivery and interaction events: display, visibility, playback, watch time, progress, clicks, navigation, sharing and likes. Reports group these measurements by day, creative, video, publisher site, advertising campaign or placement, language and variant. They support campaign reporting, performance assessment and the calculation of costs agreed with the client.
The current player does not use tracking cookies, persistent local storage or an identifier intended to recognise you across visits or sites. Temporary display and playback identifiers support cumulative measurement and deduplication. Report collections contain no IP address, full User-Agent, full page URL or consent string. Temporary data remain pseudonymous; aggregating statistics does not by itself guarantee anonymity.
Your permission and withdrawal
Advertising measurement relies on your consent for RB Content, collected through the preference manager on the site you visit. Before permission or following a refusal, the player sends no RB Content measurement events. Depending on the creative, the video may remain playable without measurement or be replaced by an image. Loading the resources needed for that display still involves network communications.
You can withdraw permission through the publisher site’s preference manager. Withdrawal stops new measurements and clears events still pending in the player; it cannot recall batches already received. A public like counter may be read without recording your own interaction. On a sharing page, measuring the click to the advertiser is subject to a separate optional choice.
Retention
Temporary technical state used for cumulative measurements and deduplication expires after 30 minutes of inactivity; technical write receipts expire after two hours. Cleanup runs periodically. Aggregated daily reports are retained for campaign history and to substantiate services provided, with no automatic deletion deadline currently defined. Retention depends on the necessity of those purposes, the terms agreed with the client and applicable obligations; a retention obligation does not justify keeping data beyond what is necessary.
Recipients and technical communications
Reports are accessible to RB Content and authorised users of the relevant client organisation. IT infrastructure providers support hosting, storage, delivery of scripts, images and videos, and traffic protection. They may receive the IP address and technical request information needed for transmission and security, including when advertising measurement is disabled. Their technical logs follow retention rules separate from those for reports.
The roles of RB Content and the publisher, transfers outside the European Economic Area and your rights are described elsewhere on this page. To learn about the recipients and safeguards applicable to a delivery or to exercise your rights, identify the site and creative concerned when contacting [email protected].
Use of artificial intelligence
RB Content uses artificial intelligence tools to accelerate the development of its products. RB Content remains responsible for its design choices and the products it makes available.
This use remains subject to applicable confidentiality and data protection obligations. This notice is not a general authorisation to send visitor or client data to an AI provider or to use those data to train a model.
Obligations under the European Union’s AI Act, including AI literacy and transparency, depend on the use and RB Content’s role. Where a feature involves direct interaction with AI or artificially generated content subject to a disclosure obligation, the information must be provided in the relevant context.

4. Advertising revenue
Any revenue, CPM, fill rate, performance or yield estimate communicated by RB Content is indicative.
Advertising revenue may vary depending on factors including the market, seasonality, traffic, geography, inventory quality, advertiser demand, platform rules and economic conditions.
Unless expressly agreed by contract, RB Content does not guarantee any minimum level of advertising revenue.
5. Reporting and partner data
RB Content may centralise data from several platforms to provide consolidated reports.
Differences may exist between data displayed by different systems, notably due to time zones, counting methods, processing delays, adjustments, invalid traffic or corrections made by partners.
Where a payable amount differs, final financial data supplied by the partner responsible for payment may serve as the reference in accordance with the applicable contract.
6. Invalid traffic and adjustments
Advertising platforms may make corrections or deductions relating in particular to invalid traffic, fraud, non-compliant impressions, advertising policy violations or adjustments made after a period has closed.
Where these corrections directly concern revenue generated for a publisher, they may be reflected in the relevant reports or statements.
7. Publisher obligations
The client remains responsible for its website, content, users and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
In particular, the client must ensure compliance with rules relating to:
- personal data protection;
- cookies and other trackers;
- advertising consent;
- intellectual property rights;
- content published on its websites;
- the policies of the advertising partners used.
8. Consent Management Platform
Where advertising services require the use of personal data or technologies subject to consent, the publisher remains responsible for the presence and correct configuration of its consent management mechanism, unless otherwise agreed by contract.
9. ads.txt, sellers.json and supply chain
RB Content may assist the publisher in managing information necessary for the programmatic supply chain to operate, including ads.txt, sellers.json and supply chain information.
The publisher remains responsible for authorising RB Content to make the necessary changes to the relevant systems.
10. RB Content tools

The client may be granted a licence to use them for the duration of the contractual relationship and within the limits agreed between the parties.
11. Confidentiality
The parties undertake to treat as confidential any non-public commercial, technical and financial information obtained in the course of their collaboration.
12. Availability and maintenance
RB Content uses reasonable efforts to ensure the availability of its services and tools.
Temporary interruptions may nevertheless be necessary, particularly for maintenance, updates, security or following events beyond RB Content’s control.
13. Liability
RB Content undertakes to provide its services diligently and in accordance with applicable professional good practices.
Unless specifically agreed by contract, RB Content has an obligation to use reasonable care and efforts, not to achieve a guaranteed result, particularly regarding advertising revenue and campaign performance.
14. Financial terms
Rates, commissions, any revenue shares, billing arrangements and payment terms are set out in the commercial offer, purchase order or contract concluded with the client.
15. Duration and termination
The duration of the collaboration and termination arrangements are defined in the commercial agreement between RB Content and the client.
16. Changes to services
As the advertising ecosystem evolves rapidly, certain technologies, integrations or features may be adapted to reflect technical developments, regulatory changes or the policies of partner platforms.
17. Applicable law
Contractual relationships with RB Content are governed by Belgian law, unless a contrary mandatory contractual provision applies.
The specific arrangements for dispute resolution and competent jurisdiction are determined in the applicable contract or commercial offer.
